Privacy.

We collect what we need to make and deliver your poster, send your Letter, and keep ads pointed at people who might actually want this. We don't sell your data. We use a small number of third-party services for payments, email, and analytics — all named below. Write to contact@moonsignguide.com if you want a copy of everything we hold on you, or want it deleted.

Birth data— first name, last name, date of birth, time of birth (or noon if you didn't know it), birth city. Used to compute your sun, moon, and rising signs and to personalize the poster.

Email— to deliver your poster, send the welcome email, and (if you bought it) deliver each Letter. Also stored if you opt into the free Letter list or save your funnel progress at the “I don't know my birth time” modal.

Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never reach our servers. We do retain the Stripe customer id, the last four of the card, and a reference to the payment method, so the one-click Letter upgrade on the welcome page works without re-entering details. You can delete this reference at any time by emailing us.

Web analytics— what pages you visited, what you clicked, roughly where you're browsing from. Powered by PostHog (product analytics) and Google Analytics 4 (web analytics).

Advertising attribution — we run the Meta Pixeland Meta's Conversions API. This means when you visit Moon Sign Guide we tell Meta (Facebook) that you did, and when you buy something we tell them that too — so our ads on Facebook and Instagram can target people similar to actual buyers. Meta receives hashed versions of your email + name (irreversible one-way hashes), plus your IP, browser, and any click ids from their ads. This is cross-site tracking. If you don't want it, an ad-blocker that blocks connect.facebook.net will stop most of it, and a future version of this site will offer an in-product opt-out.

We share specific pieces with these vendors, for the purpose listed:

• Stripe — payments + saved payment methods for the one-click upgrade.
• Resend — sending transactional emails (poster welcomes, Letters, drip).
• Neon — managed Postgres where your order + subscriber record live.
• Vercel — web hosting + edge / serverless compute.
• PostHog, Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel — analytics + advertising attribution (described above).

We don't sell your data to anyone. We don't share it with affiliates or marketing partners other than the analytics + ad services named above. If we ever change that, this paragraph changes first.

We use a handful of cookies for session continuity (your funnel progress between pages), one set by Stripe for fraud detection on payment pages, and the cookies set by PostHog / Google Analytics / Meta Pixel for the analytics described above. We don't use cookies for any other purpose.

Order records — including birth data and payment-method references — are retained while your account is active (currently this just means while you might want to re-download your poster) and for at least 7 years after, for tax and accounting reasons. Email opt-ins are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you.

You can ask us to: (a) tell you what data we have on you, (b) correct anything wrong, (c) delete your record, or (d) export it in a portable format. Email contact@moonsignguide.com and we'll respond within a week. If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have these rights by law; if you're anywhere else, you have them because we say so.

Unsubscribe.Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom and a List-Unsubscribe header that surfaces a native unsub button in Gmail / Apple Mail. Clicking it stops the drip permanently. Transactional emails (purchase confirmations) don't carry an unsub link by design.

Moon Sign Guide is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us their data, write and we'll delete the record.

We will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page when this policy changes in a meaningful way, and email active subscribers if the change affects them. Older versions are preserved in our git history at github.com/theimperfectcompany/moonsignguide.
