Moon Sign Guide started as a magazine I wanted to read at thirty — astrology writing that took itself seriously, in the literary register of the magazines and presses I'd been a reader of for years. Not horoscopes built for a daily push notification, not personality tests dressed up as self-knowledge. Something closer to an essay: specific, observed, willing to admit what it doesn't know.
The product is two things. The first is a personalized poster — an 11×17 art print for any of your three signs (sun, moon, or rising), with a short reading and a year of new moons ahead. Most people start with the moon; some take the triptych. The second is the Moon Sign Letter: one long piece of writing on each new moon, written for your moon sign, delivered to your inbox. Twelve a year. Same voice across all of them.
Sun · Moon · Rising
The writing
Writer. Former staff at The Paris Review. Has been reading astrology like literature for longer than is strictly reasonable. The voice of each sign is held consistent month to month and across signs — readers should feel they are reading chapters of the same book, by the same editor, even when the subject shifts from Cancer to Capricorn.
Where named writers contribute specific letters, you'll know whose voice you're reading. We'd rather be honest about how the editorial foundation is composed than pretend at a workshop of secret writers; the alternative, in this category, is the rule.
